They immediately came across as energetic and confident as they burst into their first song. The crowd seemed at first bemused but certainly appreciative of their good sound.
There is an obvious 80s rock metal influence that reminds me distinctly of the Mötley Crüe and Skid Row era, combined with a heavier more modern edge that helps appeal more to the modern fan base. They played half a dozen or so tracks of their own material, before announcing, “This is a song about a chick with a dick” and giving us a hard rock rendition of The Kinks’ ‘Lola’.
